Questions couples ask
The things couples want to know before they enquire.
Getting married in France
Can we get legally married at the estate?
In France, a legal marriage takes place at the town hall, and one partner usually needs to have lived locally for at least 40 days. Most couples from abroad marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony in the vines, which can be as personal as you like.
When is the best time of year for a Bordeaux wedding?
June and early September are the most popular: warm days and long evenings. May and October are quieter and often easier to book. The estate pauses weddings for the harvest in mid-September.
The estate
How many guests can we invite?
Up to 120 guests for a seated dinner in the chai and up to 180 for drinks and dancing.
Is the estate exclusive to us?
Yes. There is one wedding at a time, and the estate is closed to tastings and visitors for your stay.
Is it a working vineyard?
Yes. The vines around the house are worked through the year, which is why weddings pause for the harvest in mid-September.
Is there a music curfew?
Music runs until midnight outside, then inside the chai until 2am.
Staying and planning
How many guests can stay?
12 bedrooms sleep 28 guests across the manor house and the vineyard cottages. Guesthouses in nearby villages and in Saint-Émilion take everyone else.
Do we have to use your suppliers?
You choose your caterer from our list of trusted caterers. Flowers, photography, music and planning are up to you.
Can we visit before we book?
Yes. Couples can visit in person, with a tasting, or book a video call tour if they are planning from abroad.
